Living In A Dream - Review of The Revolve's new single release

Living In A Dream is the debut single release for rock-n-roll band, The Revolve. They made an appearance on The Electric Post a couple of months ago for a pre-gig interview and since then, they're definitely being recognised. After their first radio airplay, the band are set to launch their new single Living In A Dream in November.

This is the first single The Revolve have 'properly released' and there is a lot of achievement in this track with its seamless mix and genuine rock sound that the band effortlessly produce. It is an expansion of their rock-n-roll routes as Living In A Dream takes on a more contemporary, indie-rock focus and allows influences of Courteeners and Arctic Monkeys to seep through to define this memorable tune.

The vocals of the track are exceptional and resemble Courteeners frontman Liam Fray, yet they still maintain authenticity to complement the song. This flattering combination strengthens the effect of the track and all that it speaks about. Guitarist Aidan has said "Living In A Dream is about the band and enjoying whatever you're doing" which can be a mainstream concept but can be appreciated by everyone and this will allow the track to reach a wider audience.

The band's energy infiltrates the track instantly and it is a clear reflection of their personalities. This is something they seem to do really well and they create an instant hook to their music which makes it difficult to resist. It is the kind of thing that you would hear at a gig as a crowd pleaser and the chorus repetition is key to making this track unforgettable. Every element of this tune is completely professional from the breaks in the song to its fine lyrics; it is easy and enjoyable listening. A job well done.

Be sure to look out for The Revolve's single release on 1st November and they will also be gigging at The Georgian Theatre in Stockton-on-Tees that evening.
